THE SPACE BETWEEN THOUGHTS

In this series of paintings I wanted to express the space between thoughts because this is where you will find possibility, clarity and wisdom.

Thinking is important and necessary for tasks such as evaluating and planning. Thoughts can arise about past events and things we wish had gone differently, thoughts can crop up about the future, about things that have not happened or might never happen. At times I am prone to worrying or wanting things to be different than they are, overthinking and reacting to everything! Lots of noise going on inside my brain.

The way out of this mental loop is silence. Traditional meditation or just sitting in silence for a few minutes will help break the swirl. With practice you will begin to notice your thoughts and as you notice your thoughts you will become more aware and as you become aware of your thoughts you can let them go. Letting go is an act of peaceful surrender.
